This software has been designed to be an efficient adjunct to anyone learning Torah. Whether Torah She b'ksav, Torah She Baal Peh, or Halacha, 22Lookup has features that will speed up the "side" necessities, looking up words in the dictionary, finding the location of a word or phrase, finding the halachos referred to on a blatt of Shas by the superscript letters, and in several other areas. Via the command line interface, users can rapidly access this information and return to their studies that much quicker.
Additionally, 22Lookup was designe in a modular fashion making possible Wiki-type community involvement. As time goes forward, we will be taking suggestions, new modules, and other side projects from the user community in an effort to improve 22Lookup for all.
22Lookup is now available on the Mac, iPhone, and iPad. If there is sufficient interest (and the development costs can be funded), the app will also be made availble for Android and Windows.
This web site features sample commands and the output that the user would see if these commands were typed into 22Lookup's command-line interface. While possibly an old-school approach, the number of commands, many options available for each command, and the opportunity for modular growth... it was determined that this approach was ideal.
In case you were wondering, the program is called 22Lookup because the program originally was designed as a way to "lookup" Hebrew and Aramaic words in the dictionary and these words naturally stem from languages comprised of 22 letters so... the name became 22Lookup.
